Your role

Independently responsible for the technical procurement & analysis of the Maintenance, Repair and Operations materials as requested by the organization. Ensures the best value and highest performance by utilizing professional purchasing techniques in accordance with department and company policies.

• Plans & executes the procurement strategy for MRO & technical purchasing activity (in SAP) for Jacksonville, FL / Brunswick, GA / and Goose Creek, SC. All of this must be in alignment with the departmental and individual goals and objectives as well as Symrise policies and procedures.
• Communicates with and manages vendors. Places orders, expedites, resolves discrepancies, pursues past due information, and processes all purchasing requests.
• Works with storeroom personnel, maintenance, engineering & logistics as well as other departments to understand the business needs in regard to purchase and delivery.
• Negotiates pricing for MRO materials, identifying alternate sources, and establishing new vendors.
• Works with Accounts Payable, the suppliers, and the internal receivers to resolve invoicing issues.
• Responsible for supplier relationship meetings, scorecards, metrics, and projects as assigned.
• Provide coverage as needed for the Buyer – Contractor/Services.

About you

• 3+ years of Procurement/Supply Chain experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in business management/supply chain preferred.
