Category Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute category strategy aligned to annual business plan (FY targets).

Identify white spaces, new opportunities, and pricing ladders.

Build balanced assortment mix: Trend / DOL launches, Core replenishment SKUs, Seasonal capsules.

Define good-better-best architecture.
Range Building & Product Development
-
Lead product selection and development with suppliers.
-
Drive trend research (global fairs, competitor benchmarking, online insights).
-
Ensure alignment with: GCC customer preferences (majlis styling, gifting, Ramadan/Eid, wedding registry), Climate and fabric suitability (GSM, durability, wash care).

Work on exclusive collections and private label development.
Supplier Management & Sourcing

Identify and onboard competitive suppliers (local + international).
-
Negotiate: Cost prices, MOQs, Payment terms, Lead times.
-
Ensure cost engineering for margin improvement.
-
Maintain strong vendor scorecards (quality, delivery, compliance).
Financial & Commercial Accountability

Own sales, margin, markdown, and stock turn targets.
-
Analyze: ROS, GMROI, Sell-through, Ageing stock.
-
Take corrective actions (promotions, markdowns, repeat orders).
-
Plan OTB and manage inventory risk.
