Why This Role Is Exciting

You’ll be part of the Ticketing Integrity and Disruption (TID) team within the Amadeus ORDER division—a team that builds some of the most technically complex backend components in the Passenger Service System (Altea). These systems sit at the heart of global travel, synchronizing reservations and tickets for major airlines.

Your work will include

• Designing, coding, and reviewing high-performance backend solutions.

• Maintaining and optimizing critical components to ensure reliability and scalability.

• Managing load cycle pipelines and handling maintenance activities for legacy systems.

• Collaborating with global teams in Nice, Bangalore, Bogota, and more.

• Understanding business behind travel ecosystem and designing solution with that knowledge to leading airlines

What You’ll Do

• Build robust software using Modern C++ (C++17/20/23) along with business needs.

• Develop solutions for multi-threaded, concurrent, and distributed systems.

• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues with a strong maintenance mindset.

• Contribute to design discussions and bring innovative ideas to life.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong proficiency in Modern C++ and ability to maintain older versions and transition to newer versions.

• Solid understanding of STL, templates, RAII, smart pointers.

• Experience with unit testing frameworks.

• Experience with modern version control systems such as GIT and proper branching techniques.

• Knowledge about Linux/Unix environments.

• Familiarity with debugging/profiling tools (Valgrind, gdb)

• Familiarity with cloud providers’ ecosystems (MS Azure is a plus).

• Working in an agile environment (SAFe is a plus).

• Good problem-solving skills and passion for writing efficient code.

• Strong analytical skills and a natural curiosity to explore and solve complex problems.

• Bonus points for experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and airline industry knowledge.
