Cabinet Maker

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be currently in the woodworking and carpentry trade, with the ability to fabricate and install high-quality cabinets and fixtures. This role requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in reading blueprints, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install cabinets according to specifications and blueprints
• Fabricate and shape cabinet components using various tools and machinery
• Hang doors and ensure proper alignment and functionality
• Install hardware, such as hinges, slides, handles, and knobs
• Measure, cut, and install
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers and electricians, to ensure proper installation of cabinets in remodeling projects
• Conduct quality checks to ensure cabinets meet industry standards
• Assist in the restoration of antique or damaged cabinets

Experience

• Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or Carpenter in the restoration industry
• Proficient in cabinet assembly, installation, and fabrication techniques
• Knowledge of different types of wood materials and their properties
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts
• Familiarity with tools and machinery used in cabinet making, such as saws, drills, routers, etc.
• Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and prolonged standing
• Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during installation or fabrication process
