Position: CAD Administrator
Location: Valley Green (Etters), PA
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking a CAD Administrator to join our Cable Backplane Systems team located in Etters, PA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
CAD System Support

Assist with daily administration of CAD tools (SolidWorks, CREO, ePDM/Windchill), including user access, licensing checks, and basic configuration

Help maintain CAD templates, libraries, and drafting standards

Support CAD data management activities such as file organization, version control, and workflow routing

Monitor system issues and escalate problems to senior administrators or IT when needed
User Assistance & Troubleshooting

Provide first-line support for CAD users, helping resolve modeling issues, PDM errors, and general tool questions

Assist with onboarding new users by setting up accounts and providing basic tool orientation

Create and update simple training materials, quick-reference guides, and documentation

Encourage consistent use of CAD standards and proper file management practices
Process & Documentation

Help maintain documentation for CAD/PDM procedures, workflows, and best practices

Support updates to CAD standards and assist with rolling out changes to the engineering team

Participate in small improvement projects to streamline CAD workflows or reduce common user issues
Cross-Team Coordination

Work with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure CAD data is accurate and accessible

Coordinate with IT on system updates, permissions, and hardware/software troubleshooting

Assist with engineering change processes by ensuring CAD files and metadata are properly maintained
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer-Aided Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field

2+ years of experience using CAD tools (SolidWorks, CREO) in a design or support role

Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems such as ePDM or Windchill

Understanding of basic GD&T, engineering drawings, and manufacturing concepts

Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities

Good communication skills and willingness to support users at all skill levels
