CAD Designer

Overview
M&P Engineering and Land Surveying, PLLC, is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that offers a full array of design, planning and construction evaluation service. We are seeking a CAD Designer to join our team. This position requires a high level of technical expertise in CAD design. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to the development of innovative products.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Sketchup, and other software tools
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and surveyors to develop accurate technical drawings and models
• Review and modify existing CAD drawings as necessary
• Maintain organized files and records of CAD designs and revisions
• Design site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D in accordance with client standards
• Analyze surveys, reports, maps and other materials to identify best approach in developing and completing projects on time and within budget
• Research and review deeds, ordinances, field notes, municipal, state and federal codes to ensure compliance
• Collaborate with project engineers and design staff to address challenges and plan revisions.
• All other responsibilities as assigned

Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit)
• Solid basic understanding of engineering principles and design standards
• Ability to interpret technical drawings
• Experience with 2D animation software is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
