We’re Hiring: CAD Draughtsman

Maklad Design is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Draughtsman to join our growing interior design and fit-out team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of UAE experience in interior fit-out projects, with strong expertise in shop drawings, joinery detailing, and MEP coordination. About the Role

Reporting to the Design Manager and working closely with the project and site teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate and coordinated technical drawings for interior fit-out projects. Your role is critical in ensuring that design intent is translated into executable drawings that comply with project specifications, authority requirements, and site conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings in compliance with project requirements and standards
• Review IFC drawings and accurately incorporate design revisions and changes
• Manage and maintain XREF drawings, ensuring proper coordination and referencing
• Prepare and coordinate MEP drawings integrated with architectural and interior layouts
• Coordinate with design, project, and site teams to align drawings with actual site execution
• Prepare drawings for authority submissions and support approval processes (DDA, DM, DEWA, etc.)
• Update drawings based on site conditions, RFIs, and as-built requirements
• Ensure all drawings meet quality, accuracy, and submission timelines

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of CAD drafting experience in the UAE, specifically in interior fit-out projects
• Proven experience handling authority approval drawings and documentation
• Strong experience in MEP coordination and detailing
• Familiarity with UAE design standards and approval requirements

Technical & Field Skills

• Strong ability to read and interpret site conditions and construction drawings
• Experience in preparing as-built drawings and conducting site measurements
• Hands-on coordination with contractors, consultants, and authorities
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and related drafting tools
• Solid understanding of joinery, finishes, and fit-out construction details
