CAD Engineer (R&D Department)

Job description:

Job Summary: We are seeking a results-oriented and skilled CAD Engineer with a strong background in mechanical design, production, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in using industry-leading software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD to design and develop innovative solutions. This role requires a hands-on approach, from initial concept design and documentation to production oversight and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Create and refine designs for mechanical parts and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Documentation: Develop and manage technical documentation, including drawings and bills of quantities (BOQs), for the production department and external vendors.
• Production Support: Oversee the production process from start to finish, ensuring designs are manufactured accurately and efficiently.
• Programming & Manufacturing: Utilize specialized software for nesting and programming laser cutting files.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production and quality assurance, to address challenges and ensure seamless product development.
• Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates for various components, including laser cuttings, bending, and steel fabrication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical or CAD Engineer.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other relevant CAD software.
• Experience in a production environment with knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of cost estimation and production planning.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
