"CAD - GIS Expert"
for its newly set-up Upstream E&P Petroleum business, Fatima Petroleum Company Ltd (FPCL) in Islamabad, PAKISTAN.

What you will do:
The CAD- GIS expert will draft drawings (Computer-aided design), develop, edit, store and maintain CAD and GIS data, their structure and repositories in line with the Digital Ecosystem and Technical Data & Apps Platform Vision & Model of FPCL. The incumbent will provide accurate CAD, GIS, and spatial data analysis and visualization support for our exploration, new ventures, engineering projects, field development, and regulatory activities. These live coordinates maps and GIS data layers would enable geospatial analytics with GeoAI and informed agile subsurface & surface related decision-making across our Exploration and other business portfolios. You would actively support and comply with the Company’s Code of Conduct, Values, HSE standards and all applicable policies and guidelines.
Key Accountabilities:
CAD & GIS Mapping and Analysis:

Work with the IT Database & Apps team lead and set up new GIS geodatabase and SDE server files & folders as per hierarchy deliberated and agreed with the Exploration leadership,

QC, edit, load and assure the integrity of geospatial data from multiple sources including EMS from LMKR and public domains,

Prepare and maintain high-quality GIS and CAD maps for basins, blocks, prospects, wells, seismic surveys, and surface infrastructure.

Perform spatial analysis and spatial analysis to support acreage evaluation, prospect screening, and well planning activities.

Ensure consistent map standards, projections, coordinate systems, and symbology across all outputs.
Data Integration & Management:

Integrate geological, geophysical, seismic and well data interpretations & outputs and surface datasets like Satellite Imagery & DEM data into GIS and CAD platforms.

Maintain spatial databases and ensure accuracy, version control, and
-
documentation of spatial data.

Support data preparation for interpretation systems, reports, presentations, and regulatory submissions.
Exploration, New Ventures & JV Support:
-
Provide CAD/GIS support for bid rounds, data rooms, farm-in evaluations, and JV technical materials.

Support preparation of GDE & play fairway CRS /CCRS maps, blocks & fields maps, regional E&P, Midstream and downstream infrastructure maps and 3D geospatial exhibits for reports, stage gate reviews, technical committees,management reviews, and stakeholders & partners engagements.
Regulatory & Reporting Support:

Prepare and maintain maps required for DGPC submissions, work program reporting, and JV documentation.

Ensure spatial outputs comply with regulatory and contractual requirements.
Digital & Systems Collaboration:

Work closely with Digital Systems and Technical Data teams to align GIS/CAD workflows with FPCL’s digital ecosystem.

Support continuous improvement of spatial data standards, templates, and workflows.
Education, Knowledge and Experience:
-
Qualification
: BS degree or equivalent B.Tech degree in GeoInformatics / GIS, Civil, Geology/ Geophysics or CS / Data Sciences. Certifications or Courses taken in Spatial data analysis, Remote Sensing, Image analysis, etc are additional desirable qualifications, though not mandatory.

Experience:
5 –12 years of experience with hands-on practising of Technical drawings & drafting in ArcGIS, AutoCad, Adobe Ilustrator, CorelDraw or other software. GeoSpatial data analysis, Remote Sensing, Image analysis hands-on on-project or on-job experience.

Proficiency in GIS and CAD software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, or equivalent) and hands-on with managing ArcGIS geodatabase and SDE server files.

Strong understanding of spatial data management, coordinate systems, projections, and map production standards.

Experience integrating subsurface and surface datasets for exploration and development workflows.
