Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing accurate quantity take-offs and measurements for Civil, Structural, and MEP works.
- Support in preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in line with project drawings and specifications.
- Contribute to cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation under the supervision of senior QS staff.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and assist in preparing comparison statements.
- Monitor material usage, labor costs, and site progress to support cost control and reporting.
- Assist in preparing interim payment applications, variations, and final account statements.
- Maintain project cost records, contracts, and correspondence in compliance with company procedures.
- Coordinate with engineers, procurement teams, and site staff to resolve measurement or cost-related issues.
- Provide support in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- 1–3 years of relevant QS experience (fresh graduates with internship experience may be considered).
- Strong knowledge of quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and QS-related software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift, or similar).
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and GCC market practices will be an added advantage.
