CAE Engineer

ADVANCED ENGINEERING SERVICES IS LOOKING FOR CAE ENGINEER

LOCATION CHENNAI AMBATTUR

EXP : 2 TO 6 YEARS

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

• Perform CAE simulations including:
• FEA simulations – Static, modal, transient, thermal, and thermo-structural analysis.
• CFD analysis – Thermal management, electronic cooling, flow simulations.
• Build 3D CAD models and assemblies in SolidWorks or equivalent tools, from drawings or concept sketches.
• Execute simulation workflows: geometry cleanup, meshing, grid independence, boundary conditions, and post-processing.
• Mesh complex geometries with industry-standard quality requirements for FEM and CFD.
• Apply a strong understanding of structural mechanics, thermal sciences, and fluid sciences in solving engineering problems.
• Correlate simulation results with test data and recommend design improvements.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and customer deliverables.
• Support proposal building and effort estimation for automation and CAE projects; basic knowledge and understanding of automation systems is required.
• Coordinate with vendors and customers for technical clarifications and project requirements.
• Assist the marketing team with:
• Vendor search and communications.
• Creation of technical images, reports, and promotional videos.

Required Skills

• CAD expertise: SolidWorks or equivalent CAD (parts, assemblies, from drawings or sketches).
• FEA expertise: Static, modal, transient, thermal, and thermo-structural simulations.
• CFD expertise: FloEFD (mandatory), any commercial CFD packages.
• Strong understanding of structural mechanics, thermal sciences, and fluid sciences.
• Experience in meshing complex geometries with high-quality FEM/CFD mesh standards.
• Experience with thermal management, electronic cooling, semiconductor packaging, and flow simulations.
• Strong knowledge and experience with turbulence models, Multiphysics, conjugate heat transfer, FSI, and DPM.
• Ability to perform stress, bending hand calculations, and validate FEA simulations.
• Solver convergence and error debugging for FEA and CFD.
• Proposal building and effort estimation for automation and CAE projects.
• Strong vendor/customer communication skills.
• Programming/UDFs, automation for preprocessing, solving, and report generation will be an added advantage.
