Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide friendly, attentive service
• Operate POS systems such as TOAST POS efficiently for transactions, order processing, and cash handling
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation surfaces and seating areas
• Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Follow food safety guidelines diligently during food handling, preparation, and serving processes
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista or in food service within a café or retail environment (MANDATORY.)
• Strong knowledge of POS systems like TOAST POS for efficient sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple orders smoothly during peak hours
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate transaction processing
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to perform food preparation tasks confidently while maintaining high hygiene standards
