Job Summary:
The Cafeteria Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and efficient service in the staff cafeteria. They ensure that meals are served on time, food stations are well-stocked, and dining areas remain clean and organized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and serving meals to staff in the cafeteria.
- Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, dining tables, and food counters.
- Refill food, beverages, and utensils as needed throughout service times.
- Ensure proper food handling, hygiene, and safety procedures are followed.
- Report any food shortages, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance issues.
- Collect and dispose of waste properly and clean trays, dishes, and utensils.
- Support kitchen staff in basic food prep when needed.
- Greet staff courteously and maintain a friendly, service-oriented approach.
- Follow hotel hygiene and uniform standards at all times.
- Perform opening and closing duties of the cafeteria as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous experience 1-2 year in a similar role (Hospitality Sector ) is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible with shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physically fit to stand for long periods and perform cleaning tasks.
