Job Summary
: The Cage Cashier is responsible for distributing money to gaming customers by redeeming coins and gaming vouchers, as well as cashing checks and providing cash advances on credit/debit cards, while providing fast and courteous service to each customer.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greets all guests and Team Members in a friendly, open manner.
  • Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner, acting as a role model for all Team Members.
  • Maintains knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort.
  • Opens, maintains, safeguards and closes a bank during an assigned shift.
  • Makes change for customers in accordance with Casino Cage Policy.
  • Exchanges customer chips and gaming vouchers for cash in accordance with cage policy.
  • Cashes checks and provides cash advances on credit/debit cards in accordance with cage policy.
  • Adheres to appropriate Tribal, federal, state and local laws and Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) regulations as applicable.
  • Adheres to Cage policy and procedures
  • Attends all meetings as required.
  • Completes all required training satisfactorily.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Works at other properties as needed.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned, within the scope of the position.

System Access:
Check Cashing Vendor, Slot Accounting System, Key Tracking System, Synkros, Kiosk Systems

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must be flexible with shifts and days off with the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and special events, etc., as needed.
  • May be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if the minimum qualifications of the position can be met.
  • Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission, and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.
