Job Type: Full-time | Permanent

Salary: AED 4,000 – AED 5,000 per month (based on experience and skills)

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Cake & Pastry Decoration & Creator to join our dynamic culinary team at Saya. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for pastry arts, excellent attention to detail, and creativity in designing and producing high-quality cakes, pastries, and desserts that enhance the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cake decoration and customized dessert designs as required.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients and finished products.
• Prepare and produce high-quality cakes, pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to menu standards.
• Ensure consistency in taste, appearance, and quality of all pastry items.
• Assist the Pastry Sous Chef and Head Pastry Chef in developing new dessert recipes and creative presentations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section at all times.
• Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with company policies.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and report shortages promptly.
• Train and support Commis or junior pastry staff when required.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cake & Pastry Decoration & Creator or in a similar role (1–3 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
• Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
• Culinary diploma or certification in pastry arts is an added advantage.
