Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Pastry Chef cum Baker to join our team in Nauru. The role involves preparing a variety of pastries, breads, and baked goods while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and hygiene. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who can work independently and adapt to a small-island environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, bake, and present pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked items
  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all products
  • Manage daily production and baking schedules
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards at all times
  • Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
  • Minimize waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients
  • Follow company recipes and contribute ideas when required

Requirements

  • Proven 5 years’ experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker (hotel or resort experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of pastry and bread-making techniques
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
  • Experience working overseas or in remote locations is an advantage
  • Willingness to relocate and work in Nauru
