Key responsibilities
- Customer service: Answer inbound calls to provide information, address questions, and handle complaints and issues related to retail products and services.
- Order and payment processing: Take orders, process payments, and handle returns or exchanges.
- Troubleshooting: Provide technical or service support and troubleshoot problems customers are experiencing with their orders or products.
- Sales: Some positions may require making outbound calls to sell products or services to new or existing customers.
- Data entry and documentation: Record customer information and call details accurately in a customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Escalation: Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or management when necessary.
- Follow-up: Follow up with customers to ensure their issues have been fully resolved.
