Cambridge School Accreditation & International School Systems Consultant (Temporary Project Role)

1. Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cambridge or Oxford School Accreditation & International School Systems Consultant to support an established online education institution with a number of students currently studying, in achieving official approval as a Cambridge school under Cambridge Assessment International Education or OxfordAQA-related pathways.

The consultant will lead the academic, governance, and operational readiness process required for Cambridge school approval, while ensuring the institution’s systems are also aligned with international accreditation frameworks (e.g., Cognia-style standards) for future global accreditation readiness.

This is a temporary consultancy role (3–6 months, extendable) focused on preparing the institution for Cambridge approval and long-term institutional scaling.

We are an established online school with:

  • Number of active students across multiple regions
  • Cambridge IGCSE curriculum already being delivered
  • Experienced subject-specialist teaching faculty
  • Hybrid operational model serving multiple time zones

Our goal is to become a fully Cambridge-approved international school with globally scalable academic systems.

3. Key Responsibilities

3.1 Cambridge School Approval Readiness

  • Conduct full gap analysis against Cambridge school approval standards
  • Prepare institution for Cambridge school inspection process
  • Align school structure with Cambridge academic and operational requirements
  • Support application documentation for Cambridge school approval

3.2 Academic System Design (IGCSE Framework)

  • Review and strengthen Cambridge IGCSE curriculum delivery structure
  • Standardize subject teaching plans and academic progression pathways
  • Design internal assessment, grading, and reporting systems aligned with Cambridge expectations
  • Ensure academic integrity and exam preparation readiness

3.3 Governance & Institutional Structure

  • Design or refine school governance structure (leadership, academic oversight, reporting lines)
  • Develop key school policies, including:
  • Safeguarding and child protection
  • Academic integrity and assessment policy
  • Attendance, discipline, and student support systems
  • Establish quality assurance mechanisms for continuous academic improvement

3.4 Teacher & Faculty Alignment

  • Evaluate current teaching staff against Cambridge standards
  • Provide guidance on teacher qualification requirements and subject competency
  • Recommend training structure for Cambridge-style teaching delivery
  • Ensure consistency in lesson planning and academic delivery standards

3.5 Inspection & Approval Preparation

  • Conduct mock Cambridge inspection simulations
  • Prepare leadership team for interview and inspection readiness
  • Ensure all required documentation and evidence systems are complete
  • Support end-to-end readiness for Cambridge approval visit

3.6 International Accreditation Readiness (Cognia-Aligned Systems)

  • Ensure school systems are aligned with international accreditation frameworks (e.g., Cognia, NEASC, WASC, CIS-style standards)
  • Support development of:
  • Continuous improvement framework
  • Institutional quality assurance system
  • Evidence-based academic performance tracking
  • Ensure systems are future-ready for international accreditation beyond Cambridge approval

4. Required Experience

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Cambridge curriculum schools
  • Experience in roles such as:
  • Cambridge Coordinator / Head of Department
  • School Principal / Vice Principal
  • Examinations Officer (Cambridge-approved centres preferred)
  • Direct experience with Cambridge school approval or inspection processes
  • Strong understanding of international school governance and academic systems

5. Preferred Experience

  • Experience in international accreditation frameworks (e.g., Cognia, NEASC, WASC, CIS-style systems)
  • Experience in international or blended/online education models
  • Exposure to UAE, UK, or GCC international school systems
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms and online school operations

6. Engagement Terms

  • Type: Temporary Consultancy (Project-Based)
  • Duration: 3–6 months (extendable based on progress)
  • Mode: Remote with scheduled online coordination meetings
  • Compensation: Negotiable based on expertise and scope of responsibility

7. Key Deliverables

The consultant will be expected to deliver:

  • Full Cambridge school readiness framework
  • Completed governance and policy documentation set
  • Academic system aligned with Cambridge IGCSE standards
  • Inspection readiness report and mock evaluation
  • Structured roadmap for Cambridge approval application submission
  • International accreditation readiness framework (Cognia-aligned systems)

8. Reporting Structure

The consultant will report directly to:

  • Founder / Academic Director

And will coordinate with:

  • Academic team
  • Teaching faculty
  • Operations and LMS team

9. Strategic Objective

This role is central to transforming an existing online education platform into a Cambridge-approved international school system with scalable global accreditation readiness.
