Camp Counselor, Activity Instructor (Swimming, Sailing, Water Skiing)

Job Overview
Red Pine Camp for Girls is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors and Activity Instructors to join our team and provide a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children during Summer 2026. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, strong leadership skills, and the ability to foster a positive camp experience. We are seeking cabin counselors and activity instructors in Archery, Swimming, Sailing, and Water Skiing. Waterfront activities instructors must be certified lifeguards by the time camp begins.

Duties

• Supervise and engage children in a variety of camp activities.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by monitoring their behavior and responding promptly to any concerns.
• Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, teamwork, and social skills.
• Manage group dynamics through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques.
• Live in a cabin with campers and fellow co-counselors.
• Instruct daily in an activity of your expertise.
• Provide first aid when necessary and maintain a safe environment at all times.

Skills

• Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, summer camps, tutoring, babysitting, or similar settings.
• First aid certification or willingness to participate in certification during pre-camp training.
• Lifeguard certification required for any waterfront activity instructors and preferred for any land activity instructors.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with children, other staff members, and parents.
• Ability to handle behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism.
• Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diversity and individual needs.
