Speaking clearly from the Scriptures, camp speakers introduce kids to the person of Christ, the nature of humanity, the work of Christ on the cross, the hope of the resurrection and the opportunity for reconciliation with God.

Mission & Authority As a follower of Jesus Christ and a minister of His Gospel, lead from a mastery-level understanding of Young Life’s ministry strategy and ensure that all camp staff are supported and equipped in providing excellent camping experiences for individuals to encounter Jesus Christ and know the truth of God’s love for them. Apply technology appropriately to assist Young Life’s camping ministry by creating and maintaining systems that help staff manage well and provide excellent camp experiences. Essential Duties: Spiritual Formation: Intentionally provide opportunities for staff to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus. • Participate in opportunities for growing deeper in your relationship with Jesus. • With direction from the supervisor, develop an annual personal spiritual growth plan. • Participate in spiritual growth opportunities for camping services staff. Attentive Hospitality: Equip servant leaders who anticipate and respond to the needs of our guests, staff, and vendors, through Christ-like service. • Establish a culture of service that anticipates needs and responds with professionalism through intentional decisions and systems. • Respond to Young Life staff with questions about applications, reports, and dashboards provided by the department. • Ensure a mutually beneficial relationship between camping services and IS department by aligning with established IS standards and excellence of practice. Interpersonal Relationships: Help build relationships that reflect the character of God with guests, staff, vendors, and neighbors to foster a healthy community. • Build relationships that reflect the character of God with guests, staff, and vendors to foster a healthy community. • Demonstrate the importance of their interpersonal relationships with guests, staff, and vendors and promote a healthy community. • Work closely with the Information System team of Young Life to develop and maintain information systems using the same strategic technologies. Comprehensive Stewardship: Manage with integrity the finances, people, buildings, and equipment that have been entrusted to our ministry. • Understand the data models necessary to support a wide variety of information needs. • Collect, interpret, analyze, and utilize statistical analysis techniques to support key business decisions. • Develop a thorough understanding of camping software systems (reservations, contact management, health forms, task management, etc.) and camping policies and procedures in order to respond to camp staff inquiries and support system users. Talent Development: Through a consistent and accountable evaluation process, we identify and provide opportunities for staff in continuing education, leadership development, career-pathing, and cross-training. • Demonstrate a desire to grow through engagement in the Individual Development Plan process and participation in training and development opportunities. • Occasionally assist with technical training of Camp staff to support the rollout of new systems. • Continuous product improvement: Support development of tools and infrastructure to scale operations, increase efficiencies, and improve quality of results. o Participate in process design, strategy and implementation sessions, including documentation and execution activities. o Participate in Agile ceremonies including, Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, Grooming, and Sprint & Release planning. Embracing Excellence: Standing on the platform of national standards and metrics, we gladly prepare an environment that glorifies Jesus Christ. • Maintain knowledge of developments in the area of systems, development processes, and technology. Incorporate new developments into future systems when appropriate. • Maintain manuals and documentation as they relate to camping information systems technologies. • Frequent interaction with Microsoft data warehouse, tabular reporting database development, power BI and information builders visualizations. • Prepare annual camping statistics report for the Young Life Board and senior leadership. • Provide ad hoc statistical data as requested by field and camping leadership. Working Relationships: • Regular interactions with key technical and ministry operations stakeholders to maintain a sense of awareness and understanding of current ministry needs. • Regular involvement in the cross-departmental teams. Education: College degree required, preferably in a business or computer technology related field Working Conditions: • Office Environment. Experience Preferred for the Job: • An active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ • Previous Young Life experience preferred • Strong organizational and analytical skills • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects • Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office • VBA for Excel and an understanding of Access and SQL database queries highly desirable • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Specific Working Conditions:

The Camping Business Analyst plays a key role in strengthening national camping processes and ensuring our systems serve the mission effectively. This role partners closely with Regional Administrators to equip and support area staff, while also leading onboarding, training, and documentation for Admin Managers. Through system stewardship and process improvement in platforms like Salesforce, Formstack, WebConnex, Workday, and CampView, this position helps create clarity, consistency, and confidence across camping system and process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and evaluate national processes: identify needs, recommend improvements, and coordinate system enhancements that align with mission priorities.
  • Partner with Field Staff: serve as a key point of connection between national Camping Administration and the field, ensuring regional and area staff are well supported.
  • Lead onboarding and training: help teach and coach new Admin Managers on national systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Maintain and improve documentation: ensure Camping in the Cloud and related resources stay accurate, clear, and easy to use.
  • Collaborate across departments: work with Camping IS and other partners to strengthen systems, communication, and data alignment.

Job Specific Working Conditions

  • This position has a preferred location of Colorado Springs, Colorado, but remote work will be considered.
  • The anticipated salary for this position can range from $57,510-$71,970 depending on relevant education, experience, and location.

Notes:

Young Life is a relational ministry. Staff must be able to convey a sense of Christ-like hospitality and concern for guests and staff. Responding to the unexpected needs of a guest in a prompt and professional manner is important. All staff members are expected to represent Young Life positively and professionally within the community and be able to work with and minister to the volunteer high school and college-age young people who attend our camp.
