House Manager

Campus Manager is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safety, stability and smooth daily operations of Mama’s House. This position supervises campus routines, leads and supports staff, and upholds a compassionate structured environment for residents.

The ideal candidate is someone who loves the Lord and deeply desires to serve Him in this ministry. They possess a servant’s heart, full of love, compassion and kindness as a role model for the residents and staff. The Campus Manager must have a deep understanding of trauma-informed care principles. Knows how to work independently and as a team member. Has excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills. Understands priorities and completes tasks on time, is highly dependable and trustworthy. Maintains and respects confidentiality and privacy in all matters pertaining to the residents, staff and volunteers. The Campus Manager works closely with the Chief Program Officer to ensure communications, expectations and program standards are carried out effectively and respectfully.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm; on call after hours as needed. Hours and days may vary depending on program needs. Evening or weekend availability may be required.

Campus Operations Responsibilities:

Involved in the maintenance of the premises at Mama’s House includes building, equipment and grounds. Working with contractors, community partners, volunteers, staff, and other vendors with final approval from the President for any improvements.

Manage home repairs, alarm systems, HVAC systems, pest control, camera systems, phone and internet systems, property lights, fire drills, fire extinguisher, emergency escape plans, landscaping maintenance, MH boutique, and vehicle maintenance.

Prepare a list of household items needed on a monthly basis within budget to be most cost and time efficient. Budget for inventory, stock supplies.

Coordinate and prepare Healthy Meal Plans, budget and stock groceries in the house. Utilize online shopping or delivery.

Review timesheets to ensure employee’s time is accurately recorded and complete. Work with employees to resolve errors. Approve the timesheets.

Conduct 90-day and annual performance evaluations focused on growth, strengths and competency.

Staff Management and Resident Management Responsibilities:

Audit House Mothers ’communication logs for night, medication, visitors and vehicles. Conduct weekly meetings with House Mothers and Residents on tasks, changes, policies, conflict resolutions, events and training. Report staff and resident concerns to the Chief Program Officer.

Provide conflict resolution through counseling and/or discipline for volunteers, staff and residents. Must be goal oriented, displaying fairness, community, exercising the heart of love, forgiveness, peace, integrity, structure and reconciliation.

Provide team building activities for staff and residents through outings, communications, meetings, counseling, fellowship.

Coordinate and attend monthly meetings with the Chief Program Officer and President.

Train new House Mothers. Coordinate staff, volunteer, and resident training, retraining and orientations.

Audit staff responsibilities and ensure that all protocols, policies and procedures are being followed by staff, residents, and volunteers.

Be ready to assist with resident transportation using company vehicles, as needed

Hospitality, Volunteer Relationships, Tour Responsibilities:

Conduct tours for all volunteers, donors, residents and staff whenever possible.

Be a welcoming, professional representative of Mama’s House Ministries when new residents, staff, volunteers, community partners, vendors, and donors come in.

Address all the needs and concerns of volunteers at the house.

Duties:

Oversee the daily functioning of Mama’s House

Assure duties are followed by the House Mothers

Maintain written daily communication report on each resident

Assume the role of a maternal influence

Accountable to ensure that the house, rooms, and grounds are kept clean at all times

Will assist with social correctness, etiquette, and professional courtesies

Respond to emergencies and call for medical assistance as needed during work hours

Implement and assure policies and guidelines are followed in the Resident Handbook

Ensure that individual needs of each resident are communicated with staff in a timely manner

Ensure that extra-curricular activities are followed and residents are on time to activities

Familiar with Mama’s House policies and procedures

Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities:

Must have strong understanding of trauma and its impact on behavior, regulation, communication and relationships

Must be a good listener and ability to communicate in a non-judgmental manner

Must be capable of multitasking and can work under pressure

Must be capable of operating office equipment, computer, calculator, telephone, fax and copier

Must be physically sound as position entails sitting, walking, and standing throughout the shift and may be required to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds

Must be emotionally sound as position entails conflict resolutions to create a peaceful home and work environment

Able to monitor and maintain effective and efficient schedule during assigned shift

Must be comfortable working with babies, basic knowledge of childcare

Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner

Requirements:

High School Graduate or higher

Social Services experience

Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance

Certifications - CPR and First Aid

Computer Literate

Professional attire is required

Drug Free

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,640.00 per year
