1. Security Operations & Oversight
- Serve as the primary on-site security authority, maintaining day-to-day oversight of all security activities.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve campus-wide security plans, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate the performance of all deployed third-party security guards and personnel.
- Conduct regular security briefings with the security team and ensure all guards are fully trained on campus-specific procedures.
- Maintain 24/7 emergency response readiness and serve as the first point of contact for all security incidents.
- Conduct security patrols and inspections to identify vulnerabilities and ensure protocols are being followed.
2. Access Control & Entry Management
- Design and enforce a robust visitor management and student/staff access control system.
- Manage gate entry and exit procedures including vehicle access, visitor logging, and identification verification.
- Oversee and maintain CCTV systems, intercom systems, and electronic access control equipment.
- Ensure unauthorized individuals cannot access restricted areas at any time.
3. Weapons & Contraband Control
- Implement and enforce a strict no-weapons policy across all campus premises.
- Develop screening procedures for students, visitors, and deliveries to detect and prevent weapons or contraband from entering campus.
- Coordinate with relevant law enforcement agencies when weapons or dangerous items are discovered.
- Maintain complete discretion and confidentiality when dealing with high-profile students and sensitive incidents.
4. Emergency Response & Crisis Management
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive campus Emergency Response Plan (ERP) covering fire, medical emergencies, security breaches, and external threats.
- Lead crisis response during incidents including medical emergencies, theft, harassment, or external security threats.
- Conduct regular emergency drills (fire evacuation, lockdown, etc.) with all campus staff and students.
- Liaise with police, fire services, paramedics, and other emergency responders as required.
5. Risk Assessment & Reporting
- Conduct periodic security risk assessments across all campus facilities and submit formal reports to the Campus Director.
- Monitor campus environment for emerging security threats and proactively propose mitigation measures.
- Maintain a detailed security incident log and produce weekly and monthly security reports.
- Track patterns in incidents (e.g., timing, locations, individuals involved) to support preventative planning.
6. Stakeholder Liaison & Communication
- Act as the primary liaison between the campus and third-party security service providers, managing their performance contracts.
- Collaborate with Campus Admin and HR on disciplinary matters involving security breaches.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and external visitors on all security-related matters.
- Provide security awareness briefings to new students and staff during orientation.
7. Compliance & Policy Enforcement
- Ensure full compliance with national and local safety and security regulations.
- Maintain all required security licenses, permits, and documentation.
- Enforce Denning's institutional code of conduct as it relates to safety and security.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement, Military Studies, or a related field.
- Preferred: Additional certifications in Security Management (e.g., CPP — Certified Protection Professional, or equivalent).
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a security management or supervisory role.
- Prior experience in an educational institution, corporate campus, hospital, or high-profile establishment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing third-party security vendors or contracted personnel.
- Background in law enforcement, armed forces, or intelligence services is a significant advantage.

Other Requirements
- Clean police/criminal background check is mandatory.
- Valid security clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as campus needs dictate.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a valid first-aid and CPR certification.
