About the role

We are looking for a passionate and creative Graphic Designer to join our Captain Marketing team. This role is dedicated to creating compelling, clear, and culturally relevant visual communications for Careem’s captains. The ideal candidate has the ability to simplify complex messages into visually engaging formats and can design materials that build trust, motivate, and inspire captains across markets.

What you'll do

Design engaging communication materials for captains including videos,posters, flyers, WhatsApp creatives, in-app banners, newsletters, and training content.
  • Translate campaign concepts into captain-focused designs that are simple, impactful, and easy to understand.
  • Collaborate with the Captain Marketing, Operations, and Community Engagement teams to ensure all designs reflect the brand while being relevant to the captain audience.
  • Support with on-ground campaigns, events, and activations by creating merchandise, signage, and event branding.
  • Ensure design consistency across all touchpoints, while adapting content to local languages and cultural contexts.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality outputs within tight deadlines.

What you'll need

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in marketing or communications.
  • Strong portfolio with examples of marketing collaterals, campaign creatives, and community-focused design work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with tools like Canva, After Effects, or Figma.
  • Ability to simplify messages into clear visuals, especially for diverse audiences with varying literacy levels.
  • Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity to design for multilingual and multicultural audiences.
  • Motion graphics or video editing skills are a plus.
