Job Summary
The Car Care Advisor serves as the primary point of contact for customers seeking detailing, polishing, ceramic coating, interior cleaning, and other car care services. The role includes assessing customer needs, recommending appropriate services, preparing estimates, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring an excellent customer experience from drop-off to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Interaction & Service Consultation
- Greet customers and understand their car care needs.
- Inspect vehicles and identify required services such as polishing, detailing, paint protection, ceramic coating, etc.
- Provide expert recommendations based on vehicle condition and customer preference.
- Prepare and explain service estimates, packages, and pricing clearly.
- Follow up with customers regarding approvals, updates, and delivery times.
Service Coordination
- Communicate job details clearly to the car care team.
- Ensure all requested services are performed as agreed and meet quality standards.
- Track progress of ongoing work and update customers promptly.
- Coordinate with other departments such as service advisors, painters, and polishing teams when required.
Quality & Delivery Management
- Perform final inspection before handing over the vehicle to the customer.
- Ensure the vehicle meets company standards for cleanliness, finishing, and overall appearance.
- Address customer concerns immediately and ensure complete satisfaction.
Sales & Upselling
- Promote car care packages, ceramic coating, detailing add-ons, and seasonal offers.
- Educate customers on service benefits and maintenance tips to increase retention.
- Achieve monthly sales targets set by management.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare job cards, invoices, and customer records accurately.
- Maintain proper documentation of services performed.
- Report daily activities, customer feedback, and service issues to the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or higher; automotive certification is a plus.
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in car care, detailing, or a customer service role in automotive.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle detailing, polishing, interior/exterior cleaning, and paint care products.
- Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to inspect vehicles and identify defects such as scratches, oxidation, swirl marks, or paint dullness.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Computer literacy (basic MS Office, invoicing systems).
