Job Description:
The HR Lead partners with other HR Business Partners to develop and deliver the people aspects of the business plan for the entity you support. You will provide strategic planning and executive coaching, act as liaison on all HR processes and programs. The HR Lead also promotes change initiatives and focuses on overall organizational effectiveness for your entity. The HR Lead is viewed as one of the very most trusted business advisors to the Leaders of the entity. The HR Lead will manage 1-3 employees directly or indirectly. You will report to the Chief People Officer for the Media Practice.
Leadership
  • Be the senior level HR leader and partner, within the assigned entity, to deliver people outcomes that are aligned with the business strategy and provide value. • Identify new business strategies and adjust HR strategies to respond to changing needs of the business.
  • Help determine and implement appropriate HR programs to grow the entity according to the talent strategy and people aspects of the business strategy – typically with a focus on skill needs and development.
  • Coach leaders within the entity to help them achieve their potential; help develop the next generation of leaders.
  • Promote people-oriented change programs through the assigned entity.
  • Be a 'caretaker' of engagement for the people of the entity. Develop programs to address engagement and employee value proposition issues.
Performance Management and Professional Development
  • Manage implementation of major Human Resources processes (e.g. annual and midyear promotions, annual performance management, compensation and salary administration, cost to serve) according to geographic/entity guidelines.
  • Coach career advocates and supervisors on the career development of all assigned personnel by providing guidance on career plans, coaching, and advising/approving required and elective training appropriate for their development.
  • Manage ongoing performance feedback processes by providing regular guidance and training on delivering and receiving feedback, contributing to and reviewing formal input, discussing personnel issues, and supporting the implementation of performance improvement plans.
Employee Relations and Employee Transitions
  • Be an escalation point for complex personnel and employee relations issues and provide guidance and intervention to resolve personnel issues.
  • Educate and advise executives on HR policy, ensure compliance to our policies.
  • Manage the integration of new joiners.
  • Manage the termination process by coordinating discussions, ensuring appropriate documentation, conducting/coordinating exit interviews, and elevating or addressing any resulting issues.
General HR
  • Partner with HR Advisors to share best practices and contribute to knowledge capital.
  • Provide guidance to management on a variety of matters including absence, poor performance, managed terminations, disciplinary and grievance matters, flexible working arrangements, and advising on legal framework.
  • Manage attrition/retention, analyzing trends through headcount and exit data and recommending appropriate course of action.
  • Assess skill gaps with leadership, build plans for skill development areas and support team in identification of people to attend training.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of work experience as an HR business partner.
  • Work experience in human resources (exposure to employee relations, performance management, salary administration, benefits, employment law, training and counseling).
  • Experience with multi-tasked project management.
  • Excel, Word, HRIS systems, general report writing.
  • Conflict and change management.
  • Experience with HR metrics.
  • Knowledge of labor legislation.
The annual base salary range for this position is $136,000-$219,650. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
