Carbon Market Assistant/Research Assistant

Sequerra is seeking a motivated and analytically strong Carbon Market Assistant to support carbon credit project development, carbon market research, and policy analysis across Pakistan’s evolving carbon market landscape. The role combines technical research, documentation, field-level data collection, and market intelligence to support high-quality carbon projects aligned with international standards and emerging regulatory frameworks.

Roles & Responsibilities:

⮚ Conduct structured literature reviews on carbon credit mechanisms, voluntary and compliance carbon markets, and international and national environmental policies.

⮚ Assist in preparing project documentation, including concept notes, technical reports, and inputs for Project Design Documents (PDDs).

⮚ Participate in site visits to collect environmental, activity, and socio-economic data.

⮚ Assist in the preparation of structured reports, research briefs, and presentations.

⮚ Support coordination with consultants, project partners, and relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills:

⮚ Intermediate understanding of carbon markets, carbon credit frameworks, and sustainability concepts.

⮚ Proven research and literature review skills.

⮚ Excellent analytical, technical writing, and communication abilities.

⮚ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint).

⮚ Willingness to engage in fieldwork and site-based project activities.

⮚ Having GIS skills would be an additional benefit.
