Role Summary

Data is the heartbeat of our business . We are looking for a Card Portfolio Analyst who can transform billions of transaction rows into actionable insights, growth levers, and fraud-reducing strategies. You will be the bridge between raw transaction logs and real-world decisions, collaborating closely with Business, Product, Growth, Risk, and Finance teams. If turning noisy data into clear, strategic actions excites you, this is the role for you.


Responsibilities


Build the single source of truth

  • Combine processor, ledger, and engagement data in Big Query/Snowflake
  • Maintain reproducible SQL/Python jobs that refresh daily
  • Publish dashboards in Power BI or Grafana
  • Automate a 10-slide board deck that ships on day 2 of every month
  • Drive automation in reporting.

Define and execute portfolio & financial analysis

  • Conduct segmentation analysis on spending behavior and lifecycle stage
  • Flag dormant/low-engagement cards and provide re-activation lists to CRM
  • Slice CAC/LTV by cohort and guide spending toward high-retention channels
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses on new product/feature changes
  • Build forecasts and elasticity models to secure better network terms
  • Provide Finance with scenario tables for partner renegotiations
  • Highlight cost variances or fee leakages as they occur


Support spend growth

  • Quantify campaign, rewards, limit change, and partner offer impacts
  • Identify merchant-category and behavioral triggers that drive usage
  • Advise Business Development on suitable reward partners.

Be the fraud loss assassin

  • Map false-positive hotspots and tune rules
  • Partner with the ML team to build new features
  • Drive ≥25 bps annual reduction in fraud losses without hurting approval rates


Requirements

  • 3–6 years’ experience in card issuing, payments, lending, or analytics
  • Strong SQL skills; competent in Python or R
  • Experience with a modern BI tool ( Looker, Power BI, Mode, etc. )
  • Knowledge of statistical testing, cohort and survival analysis
  • Strong storytelling ability—turning complex data into clear executive insights
  • Bias toward delivering initial solutions quickly and iterating
  • Bonus: experience with fraud decision engines, interchange tables, or ML deployment


Good to Have

  • Familiarity with interchange regulations and scheme fee tables
  • Exposure to fraud rule tuning or decision-engine data
  • Experience in startup or scale-up environments

  • Increased active card rates
  • Reduction in fraud losses and fee drag
  • Adoption of dashboards as the primary source of portfolio data
  • Number of insight-driven product launches/adaptations
  • Decreased time spent on Management and Board reporting
