Specific Duties
Direct Patient Care
  • Perform and monitor non-pharmacologic, pharmacologic, and PET stress tests in collaboration with the Nuclear Technologist.
  • Required Skills:
    • IV management (site selection, insertion, removal).
    • Recognition of EKG and rhythm abnormalities.
    • EKG prep, recording, and preliminary interpretation; report abnormalities to provider.
    • Monitor/document vital signs.
    • Identify and respond to adverse reactions under provider guidance.
    • Provide patient instructions on prep, diet, and medication holds 24–48 hours prior to testing.
Professional Duties
  • Maintain current CPR/BLS/ACLS certifications.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain competency.
  • Attend team meetings and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide orientation, mentorship, and preceptorship to new team members.
  • Participate in community education or prevention programs as needed.
  • Deliver care consistent with current standards, protocols, and ethical guidelines.
  • Support the CT service line when needed and assist with staff training and education.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current, unencumbered RN license in the resident state.
  • Minimum two (2) years critical care or similar experience required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Successful completion of assigned EKG, stress testing, and cardiology courses within 12 months of hire.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Preferred: Advanced certification in cardiology/cardiovascular nursing.
Compensation: Pay starting at $ 36.00
