Job Title: Cards Operations Specialist

Term: 12 months

Location: Riyadh, KSA

Division: Banking & Technology

Relevant experience: 10+ years experience

Mandatory requirements: Senior Cards operations expert with knowledge of both financial and non-financial card operations

PURPOSE OF JOB

The Cards Operations Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the clients card business by managing operational processes for credit, debit, and prepaid products. This role involves developing new card products, ensuring smooth migration of existing customers to new products, and maintaining operational excellence across the card lifecycle. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of the following:

Financial Card Operations:

  • Settlement
  • Reconciliation
  • GL Structure
  • Nostro Management
  • Dispute and Chargeback
  • Scheme Invoice Management
  • Scheme reporting/QMR


Non-Financial Operations:

  • Card Plastic and Certification
  • Card Inventory Management
  • Card Delivery and Return Handling
  • Complaint Management
  • Running any manual batch files for data/fee correction
  • Payments to vendors and partners


TASKS

Core Responsibilities And Accountabilities

Product Development Support:

  • Collaborate with product teams to operationalize new credit, debit, and prepaid card offerings.
  • Creation of new product codes and GL Structure
  • Migration of old customers from one product to the other
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and network requirements.


Customer Migration:

  • Plan and execute migration strategies for existing customers to new card products.
  • Monitor migration progress and resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Manage card delivery and return process for the migration


Operational Management:

  • Oversee card issuance, personalization, and delivery processes.
  • Manage settlement, reconciliation, and chargeback handling for all card types.


Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Work closely with internal teams (Risk, IT, Customer Service) and external partners (processors, vendors).
  • Provide MIS reporting on key operational metrics (issuance, fraud trends, migration status).


Knowledge And Experience

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in business analysis within the banking or fintech industry, with a focus on card management systems and payment infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of card lifecycle processes, fraud management, card operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with card management systems and payment network rules.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
