Cards Product Manager

Job Title: Cards Product Manager

Term: 12 months

Location: Kuwait

Division: Cards Issuing

Reports to: Head of Cards

Relevant experience: 5 – 8 years in cards product management, preferably new product launches and customer acquisition strategy

Mandatory requirements:

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

Support the Head of Cards of a leading bank in Kuwait. Develop and implement product strategies and initiatives to meet the needs of the client. The ideal candidate is to have deep understanding of the cards systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive business results through effective program management.

Key Activities

Core Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute growth strategies to expand the credit card business. Identify and pursue new market opportunities and partnerships to increase market share. Implement marketing and promotional campaigns to attract new clients and increase card usage.
  • Analyze the performance of the credit card portfolio, including profitability, utilization, and customer satisfaction. Identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the portfolio and develop strategies to address them.
  • Monitor key KPIs – card activation, usage/spend uplift, attrition, complaint rate, call center volumes, digital adoption. Conduct regulatory, data, and customer‑impact assessments.
  • Assist in customer communications and marketing campaigns.
  • Liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders - Product, Technology, Operations, Marketing, Compliance, and third-party vendors to deliver a robust Cards ramp up strategy.
  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of loyalty program to ensure its effectiveness and alignment to customer needs and business goals.
  • Oversee technical readiness across issuing platforms (BIN configuration, card profiles, tokenization & digital wallets, recurring payments, authorizations/clearing, 3DS/ACS, fraud controls)
  • Oversee operational readiness (card production, personalization, dispatch, courier SLAs).


Knowledge And Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in cards product management, with a proven track record of driving business growth and achieving targets.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of the cards market, industry trends, and regulatory environment.
  • Experience in developing and launching new card products, including credit, debit, and prepaid cards.
  • Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Mandatory Skills**

  • Experience in card issuing business, card management and payment processing systems.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex card upgrade or migration projects.
  • Experience with card‑scheme requirements, data privacy, program governance, and regulatory frameworks (Kuwait preferred).
  • Understanding modern payment technologies, mobile wallets, fraud & risk and API integrations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and portfolio management tools, excel, and tableau.
  • Language: fluent in English, Arabic optional.
