Care Assistant/ Nursing Assistant - Baby Care

About the Role

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and experienced Nursing Assistant / Care Assistant to provide compassionate and attentive care for a baby in a home environment. The caregiver will support daily routines, ensure the baby’s health and safety, and contribute to early development through nurturing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care including feeding, diaper changing, bathing, and dressing the baby.
• Prepare and sterilize feeding bottles and baby food (if age-appropriate).
• Follow a structured daily routine (naps, playtime, feeding schedule).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for the baby at all times.
• Engage in age-appropriate developmental activities such as reading, singing, tummy time, gentle play, and early verbal training.
• Monitor the baby’s health, mood, and behavior, reporting any concerns to parents.
• Keep the baby’s room, toys, and clothing clean and organized.
• Support sleep training or parental preferences regarding baby care routines.
• Maintain simple records of feeding, sleeping, and activities if required.
• Provide emotional support, warmth, and affection to the baby.

Requirements

• Education: GNM, ANM, or 10th/12th with relevant caregiving experience
• Experience: Prior infant or childcare experience preferred
• Certifications:
• Pediatric First Aid (if available)
• Early childhood care training (preferred)

Skills

• Knowledge of infant care and safety practices
• Patience, warmth, and attentiveness
• Strong communication skills
• Reliability and punctuality
• Ability to follow parents’ instructions and household rules
• Good personal hygiene

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience caring for newborns, twins or babies with special needs (if applicable)
• Ability to assist with light household tasks related to the baby (laundry, cleaning bottles, etc.)
• Multilingual abilities (depending on family requirements.
