Care-Coordinator Part Time

Colchester HomeCare is a growing domiciliary care provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care within the community. We are looking for an organised, compassionate, and proactive Care Coordinator to join our team and help ensure our service users receive the highest standard of care.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced care professional who is passionate about supporting both service users and care staff while helping to maintain excellent standards of care delivery.

Following a successful probation period, there will be a salary review, with opportunities for career progression and the potential to move into a full-time role as the business continues to grow.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage care staff rotas and schedules.
  • Ensure all care visits are allocated and covered effectively.
  • Monitor service delivery and respond promptly to operational issues.
  • Conduct spot checks, observations, and quality assurance visits in the community.
  • Support and supervise care staff, providing guidance and ongoing support.
  • Review and maintain care plans, risk assessments, and service user records.
  • Carry out service user reviews and ensure care remains person-centred.
  • Liaise with service users, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
  • Support the on-call service on a rota basis.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and staff compliance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and best practice standards.
  • Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager with day-to-day operations.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Care Coordinator, Field Care Supervisor, Senior Carer, Team Leader, or similar role within domiciliary care.
  • Good understanding of CQC regulations and domiciliary care standards.
  • Experience completing spot checks, care plan reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using care management systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rota.

Desirable

  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience using Birdie or similar care management software.
  • Experience supporting recruitment and compliance activities.
