Care Coordinator - RHC-Endocrinology

DEPT: Endocrinology

LOCATION: MRMG- Columbia, TN

SHIFT: Full-Time, Monday-Thursday 7a-5:30p

ABOUT THE UNIT:

The Care Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring efficient clinic operations and supporting high-quality patient care. This position is responsible for managing patient communication, scheduling, and check-out processes, while maintaining accurate documentation and records. The Care Coordinator handles day-to-day administrative tasks such as answering phones, processing faxes and emails, scanning documents, and coordinating referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance updates. Additionally, this role supports quality initiatives through reporting, preventive care tracking, and transitional care management. The Care Coordinator also provides front desk coverage as needed and collaborates with other care teams to promote seamless workflows, exceptional service, and compliance with organizational standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum of 2 years of secretarial or patient-facing experience in a medical office, clinic, healthcare, or related setting Preferred
    • Medical office certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
