Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Clinical Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will oversee the coordination of clinical operations, ensuring seamless patient care delivery and efficient administrative workflows. Your expertise will help facilitate accurate documentation, effective communication among healthcare providers, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake processes, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information using EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
- Review and ensure accuracy of medical documentation, including care plans, progress notes, and billing records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Facilitate medical coding procedures by applying CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards for billing and reimbursement purposes.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records, ensuring proper filing, data entry, and electronic health record (EHR) management to support clinical workflows.
- Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and external agencies via multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette best practices.
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out procedures, cleaning and front desk responsibilities while providing exceptional customer service.
- Support compliance with health information management standards by reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy in accordance with Medicare guidelines and other payer requirements.
Skills
- Excellent organizational skills with experience in , clerical tasks such as filing, typing , and managing electronic health records.
- Effective communication skills for phone interactions with patients and healthcare professionals; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse populations.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all administrative and clinical duties.
