Nephrology practice in need of a Clinical Coordinator to oversee medical back office operations. Work Experience:
- Medical office background required.
- Athena EMR experience preferred.
- Bilingual in the Spanish language preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- The Clinical Coordinator supports daily clinical operations by assisting with patient communication, provider follow-up, clinical documentation, and coordination of care.
- Manage clinical inbox messages, patient cases, provider requests, and follow-up tasks in a timely manner.
- Coordinate care needs between providers, medical assistants, scheduling, front desk, insurance verification, and outside facilities.
- Assist with lab, imaging, referral, medical record, and medication-related follow-up.
- Communicate with patients regarding clinical instructions, follow-up needs, lab orders, imaging orders, and provider-directed updates.
- Escalate urgent, incomplete, or time-sensitive concerns to the appropriate provider or manager.
- Support specialty workflows such as dialysis documentation, hospital follow-ups, access center referrals, and outside provider communication as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation while following clinic policies, HIPAA guidelines, and established workflows.
This position requires strong attention to detail, professional communication, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced specialty practice setting.

- Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
- Must maintain confidentiality and remain HIPAA compliant at all times.
