Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, the Career Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the goals and objectives of Career Services to support student success across multiple campuses. This role plays a key part in guiding students through career exploration, planning, and preparation, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and confidence needed to achieve their professional aspirations.
The Career Coordinator collaborates with faculty, staff, and community partners to design and deliver career development programs, workshops, and events that connect students with employment and internship opportunities. The employee assists in maintaining and enhancing Career Services operations, including employer relations, career fairs, and digital career resources.
This position requires proactive engagement with students to assess career interests, provide individualized counseling, and support resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies. The Career Coordinator also contributes to continuous improvement efforts by evaluating program effectiveness, analyzing outcomes, and recommending enhancements to better serve the student population of Midlands Technical College.
This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer a masters degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Social Work or related field and experience in college career services.
