Job Summary/Purpose:
Perform mechanical jobs within Heavy Equipment Service division of BTC.

Operational:
1. Obtain job card from the Supervisor, check vehicle for damages/faults, check job as per job card, mark jobs not mentioned on the job card as supplementary and inform the Supervisor about it.
2. Identify spare parts required to perform the repair, verify it with Service Supervisor and order it through the Spare Parts Department.
3. Perform repair using service manuals and / or manufacturer's repair procedures.
4. Reassemble equipment, test, calibrate if necessary, ensure correct functioning and complete job card details of work performed.
5. Inform Service Supervisor of any delay in job completion and / or additional repairs required to bring the Equipment to operational condition.
6. Ensure tidiness and cleanliness of workshop facilities and equipment.
7. Comply with the Group's standard for housekeeping, personal safety and appearance.
8. Inspect vehicle as per job card for routine maintenance, request for parts, clock on, carry out required repairs/replacements, clock off and return job card to the Supervisor.
9. Inspect vehicle in case of mechanical faults, carry out necessary repairs after diagnosis, conduct road test and intimate the Supervisor upon completion.
