The Middle East Alumni & Careers Engagement Officer operates within a defined region to strengthen alumni relations and student engagement at the-Dubai branch. The role reports to the Careers & Alumni Relations Manager and focuses on delivering targeted alumni activities, career support, and corporate engagement to boost local engagement, affinity, and fundraising. Key responsibilities include advising postgraduate students, running career workshops, expanding local employer and alumni networks, organizing events and speaker sessions, coordinating with central Alumni and Careers Services teams, maintaining data integrity, and contributing to marketing and special projects. Occasional out-of-hours work and travel within the Middle East are required.
Key Responsibilities

Work with the Branch Director and Careers & Alumni Relations manager to assist in implementing the strategy and initiatives for the careers and alumni department in Dubai branch, as aligned with the university post-graduation careers and alumni services

Provide face-to-face, telephone and email careers advice for postgraduate students across all popular MBA & MSc destination sectors and disciplines

Conduct group careers training sessions to deliver key career management skills

Promote additional careers services delivered by the central Postgraduate Careers Service

Identify and engage with local and regional employers to generate potential job opportunities for Global MBA students

Engage with local and regionally based alumni to raise the profile of the branch and its students

Organize and deliver networking events, company visits and other external initiatives to raise the profile of the branch and its students

Identify and engage external speakers to deliver sessions for students to help raise their knowledge of the market

Be the point contact for the local alumni committees, students building strong relationships to ensure partnership at all levels

Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Officer and the Annual Fund Officer in the central Alumni Office, providing local guidance on how best to approach marketing, communication as well as annual fund activities

Work closely with the Postgraduate Careers Service team to ensure services are coordinated

Be responsible for data integrity working closely with the Central Postgraduate Careers Service and the central Alumni Offices to continually update and improve students and alumni records.

Collate and report on user statistics, feedback and recommendations

Keep abreast of the competitive landscape locally and build partnerships & relationships with other business schools, societies or associations that would benefit the community.

Assist in initiating and managing corporate relations with target clients & Branch stakeholders, to generate and grow corporate business opportunities for in the region

Engage with local and regional stakeholders to generate potential opportunities for students and alumni.

Engage with local and regionally based alumni to raise the profile of the -Dubai branch and its students

Contribute to marketing initiatives to support overall as led by the branch director

Corporate Engagement

Assist in initiating and managing corporate relations with target clients, STPs and Branch stakeholders in the region

Generate and grow corporate business opportunities in the region, contributing to the identification of target clients

Support Social Responsibility activities by finding right sponsors for each initiative.

Represent the Middle East Branch at community and networking events.

Maintain excellent relationships with existing account base and expand relationships where possible.

Document and complete all necessary paperwork for all Strategic Talent Partnerships.
Post holder will also be required to.
