Duties
- Provide attentive care to children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Support childhood development through engaging activities that promote learning, behavior management, and social skills
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, bathing, and dressing for infants and toddlers
- Implement age-appropriate educational activities that foster early childhood education and classroom experience
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to communicate progress and address individual needs or concerns
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized caregiving to meet their unique requirements
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying roles is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
- Hands-on experience with infant care and toddler care routines
- Classroom experience or early childhood education background is advantageous
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification required if not already certified
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Strong communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members effectively
