Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve by delivering personalized care, ensuring safety, and promoting independence. Responsibilities

• Assist residents or patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature regularly
• Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual needs
• Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
• Observe and document changes in residents’ conditions, behaviors, or symptoms to inform healthcare teams
• Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> to assist with heavy lifting or transfers safely
• Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop and implement personalized care plans
• Engage residents in social activities or companionship to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation and monitor vital signs accurately
• Experience with medication administration and following detailed care plans according to healthcare regulations such as HIPAA
• Familiarity with using mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts for safe patient transfers
• Background in providing long-term care or home health services that emphasize compassionate caregiving and patient safety
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; ongoing training in dementia or memory care is a plus
