Caregiver / HHA / CNA – Dementia Experience Preferred (Part-Time)

Curantis Home Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregiver to assist a delightful 88-year-young woman living with her daughter and son-in-law in York, PA.

This position is ideal for a caregiver who enjoys companionship-based care and has experience supporting clients living with dementia. Our client is ambulatory, mobile, and pleasant, and the home environment is calm, clean, and welcoming (and pet-free).

Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Primary Responsibilities:

This role focuses primarily on companionship and supportive care, including:

• Friendly companionship and engagement
• Gentle redirection and dementia support
• Light meal preparation when needed
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping
• Encouraging positive conversation and activities
• Supporting daily comfort and routine

Ideal Candidate:

The right caregiver for this client will be:

• Dependable and punctual
• Patient and experienced with dementia care
• Warm, positive, and engaging
• Comfortable working in a family home environment
• Able to keep the client mentally engaged and socially active

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, or Senior Companion
• Prior dementia care experience strongly preferred
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Cell phone
• Ability to communicate clearly in English
• Clean driving record
• Clear criminal background (statewide & FBI checks required)
