Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of resident spaces
  • Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and facility policies
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow personalized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to promote social engagement and mental well-being

Skills

  • Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings
  • Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration
  • Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams
  • Experience working in group homes or assisted living environments is highly desirable
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are required
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach in providing compassionate care
  • Need to pass DOJ background check
