Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant in the Butler, Ga area to provide essential support to individuals in home care environments. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and the ability to handle physical tasks, including heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
• Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff and/or family members.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Support clients with memory care needs through engaging activities and routines.
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safe movement within the home or community.
• Follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals and adapt as necessary to meet client needs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including CPR/first aid procedures when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Home Care is preferred.
• Certification of CPR/first aid procedures is required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client assistance.
• Familiarity with memory care techniques is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
• Compassionate nature with a desire to help others maintain their dignity and independence.
• Certification in personal care assistance or related fields is mandatory.
• Current TB skin test or Chest X-ray is mandatory.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
