Caregiver – Tagalog/English Speaking Preferred (Medicaid Home Care Client)

Overview
We are hiring a compassionate caregiver for a Medicaid-authorized home care client in Canton, MI. Consistent weekly hours available for the right candidate. This client is served through Michigan Medicaid, so caregivers must complete a CHAMP enrollment application (state caregiver verification system).

• Willing to complete CHAMP enrollment
• Background check required

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and observe patients’ conditions regularly, documenting vital signs and changes in health status accurately
• Support medication management by administering prescribed medications following medical instructions and HIPAA regulations
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment
• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or catheters safely and effectively during patient transfers or care routines
• Support clients with memory care needs related to Alzheimer’s disease or dementia through specialized techniques and patience
• Maintain compliance with all privacy laws including HIPAA by safeguarding patient records and sensitive information

Pay: $17.00 per hour
