Caregiver/Personal Assistant

Needed: responsible, trustworthy, active and kind caregiver for charming young man with cerebral palsy that affects mobility, cognition and speech. Mission is to help him negotiate the world in a similar way to able-bodied peers. Responsibilities include helping him with personal hygiene (including potty) and dressing, arranging and transporting (we have an accessible van available) to and from job, community activities, shopping and errands and assisting with household chores/housework/yardwork, meal preparation and helping him reach his employment and social and fitness goals. This job does involve lifting and requires reliable transportation and driver's license, 3 references, application through a state agency that involves background check. Prefer someone who is willing to work weekends and be flexible with schedules, average 10-20 hours/week. For the right person, we can train. Pay starts at $30/hour.
