Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cargo Agent to join our dynamic team in the Leisure, Travel & Tourism industry. As a Cargo Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling, transportation, and delivery of various cargo materials. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including airlines, freight forwarders, and customs officials, to facilitate the smooth movement of goods both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities:

• Process cargo bookings and prepare shipping documentation including air waybills, customs forms, and invoices.
• Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and ground handling agents to schedule shipments and track cargo movement.
• Inspect cargo for compliance with safety and security regulations, including hazardous materials handling.
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding shipment status, delays, or issues.
• Manage cargo storage and warehouse operations to ensure proper handling and inventory control.
• Resolve discrepancies and claims related to damaged or lost cargo.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, tariffs, and documentation requirements.
• Support continuous process improvements to enhance cargo handling efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
• Previous experience in cargo handling, freight forwarding, or logistics preferred.
• Strong understanding of air cargo operations, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with cargo management software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with IATA regulations and air cargo security protocols.
• Knowledge of customs clearance procedures and international shipping standards.
• Basic math skills for calculating weights, volumes, and freight charges.
• Physical ability to handle cargo and operate warehouse equipment, if required.

Pay: AED 5,500.00 – AED 7,000.00 per month
