Carpenter

Job Summary:

A Furniture Fitting Carpenter specializes in assembling, installing, and adjusting furniture components such as wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, doors. The role demands precision, attention to detail, and experience working with a variety of materials including MDF, plywood, veneers and solid wood.

Key Responsibilities:

· Carry out on-site and off-site installation of furniture as per drawings and project requirements.

· Accurately measure, cut, shape, and fit materials to required specifications.

· Install fitted furniture such as wardrobes, kitchen units, shelving systems, office workstations, and doors.

· Assemble modular furniture components and ensure proper alignment and finishing.

· Interpret technical drawings and instructions to deliver precise fittings.

· Collaborate with designers, site supervisors, and clients to ensure expectations are met.

· Conduct finishing works including edge banding, veneer finishing, laminating, and hardware fixing (hinges, handles, locks, etc.).

· Rectify on-site fitting issues promptly and ensure proper adjustments for perfect alignment.

· Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and ensure work areas are clean and safe.

· Ensure quality standards and project timelines are adhered to.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Proven experience in furniture fitting, carpentry, or modular furniture installation.

· Proficiency in using carpentry hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.

· Strong knowledge of materials used in furniture manufacturing (MDF, plywood, laminates, hardware).

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD layouts, and site instructions.

· Good problem-solving skills for site adjustments and unforeseen challenges.

· Physical strength, precision, and manual dexterity.

· Professional conduct at client premises.

Educational Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Technical training in carpentry or furniture making is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ﷼5,000.00 per month
