Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to perform maintenance, repair, installation, and fabrication of wooden fixtures, furniture, doors, partitions, and other civil works within facilities. The successful candidate will support the upkeep of facility infrastructure while ensuring high standards of workmanship, safety, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of carpentry-related works within the facility.
• Install, repair, and maintain doors, cabinets, furniture, partitions, ceilings, and other wooden structures.
• Perform fitting, cutting, shaping, and assembly of wood and related materials as required.
• Inspect facility assets and identify carpentry maintenance requirements.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and repair works.
• Assist in minor civil maintenance works related to facility operations.
• Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Prepare maintenance reports and update work records as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 1-Year Professional Trade Course Certificate in Carpentry, Woodwork, or a related trade.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the service sector, facilities management, or maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, installation techniques, and repair methods.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in healthcare facilities maintenance will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in maintenance of furniture, doors, cabinetry, partitions, and interior finishes.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to maintenance requirements.
