Carpenter – Abu Dhabi

The Carpenter is responsible for performing a variety of woodworking, repair, and maintenance tasks across assigned facilities. The role involves fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing wooden structures, furniture, partitions, doors, and fixtures, ensuring high-quality finishes and compliance with safety and facility management standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry works including cutting, shaping, assembling, and installing wooden structures, partitions, and furniture.
• Perform maintenance and repair of doors, cabinets, shelves, flooring, ceilings, and wooden fixtures.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements to complete assigned tasks.
• Operate woodworking machines, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure quality finishes, polishing, and adjustments to meet client and facility standards.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair defective woodwork or fixtures.
• Assist in preparing materials, cost estimates, and time schedules for carpentry tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
• Comply with company policies, safety standards, and UAE regulations at all times.

Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Certificate / ITI / Diploma in Carpentry or equivalent trade certification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Carpenter, preferably within facility management or maintenance services in the UAE.
• Proficiency in operating woodworking tools, machines, and finishing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of different types of wood, laminates, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and safety awareness.

Working Conditions

• On-site role in Abu Dhabi facilities.
• Requires flexibility for shift work, overtime, and emergency call-outs.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and work with heavy wooden materials and tools.
