Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of carpenters and helpers on-site
- Plan, assign, and monitor daily carpentry tasks and activities
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
- Ensure all carpentry work is completed accurately and on schedule
- Inspect work to maintain quality standards and compliance
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Monitor material usage and request supplies when needed
- Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment
- Train and mentor junior carpenters and helpers
Requirements
- High school diploma or technical certification in carpentry or related field
- Proven experience as a Carpenter Foreman or Senior Carpenter
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and site plans
- Leadership and team management skills
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Physically fit and capable of working on-site
